How I Work
My approach is psychodynamic: the psychodynamic model holds the view that our current difficulties and struggles can have origins in earlier times of our lives, particularly during childhood, and that the mind conceals or retains experiences, feelings or memories which may be too painful or difficult for the conscious mind to process.
I will work with you to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences you may not be fully aware of, but which can have an impact on your life. These may be unhelpful patterns of thought, or beliefs you may hold about yourself. I offer you the chance to gain valuable self-expression and reflection on your life.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers you the chance to gain valuable self-expression and reflection on your life, to more fully understand yourself, past experiences and relationships, ultimately allowing you to live a life that feels more genuine, connected and meaningful.
I am experienced in working with a wide range of life issues, such as -
Depression and low mood
Relational & family difficulties
Loss & bereavement
Issues with alcohol & drugs
Guilt & shame
Due to COVID-19, I am currently working online via Zoom & Skype.
